farcycles - saturday rides

Picture
Farcycles host Saturday Morning group rides which include a mid-route coffee stop.  The emphasis is on social riding and exploration of the beautiful area that surrounds us.  The rides run throughout the year, actual timings and routes adapting to the forecast and season.

As a guide, depending on numbers, we run the following rides:

We request that anyone joining a group ride commits to staying with their chosen group until at least the coffee stop.  We don’t implement a rigid approach to group riding but do request you are familiar with some of the principles to help keep the groups together and safe.  The internet has lots of available resources including this video from British Cycling:.

Add yourself to the Weekly Rides Newsletter List HERE ....

Meet us for a ride.  If you let one of the ride champions know you are coming we can arrange for someone to meet you 15 minutes before the planned start to answer any questions, explain how rides work and help you decide the best ride to join.

Ride Champions.  Contact any of the Ride Champions at ride@farcycles.org.uk

Blue Ride Champion:  Nigel Saunders or Sarah Duce
Red Ride Champion:   Mike Hawkes or Patricia Taylor
Pink Ride Champion:  Adrian Flewitt

Under 18s.  Please note we welcome younger riders but our rides are not purposely designed for younger riders.  If you are under 18 and would like to ride with our Saturday rides please contact us at ride@farcycles.org.uk.
All under 16s must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times on a ride.  All under 18s will be required to complete a parental/guardian consent form and also be expected to be self sufficient on a ride.  All our rides do have a host to help where possible but most of our hosts have not undertaken any safeguarding training or undertaken any DBS checks.
